I use the third layer (waterproof) of my hammock to sling all kit in, everything is off the ground but below the under quilt. Boots either go where they leave my feet or clipped to the ridgeline away from my head if the weather looks very bad.

Such a shame if they have closed down, my TW 3layer hammock is a beast! super comfy in the trees and waterproof for going to ground if i need to.

I ended up at GoOutdoors with a budget, clean pair of socks, and an hour of time. Tried on so many, and then bought the pair that fitted my feet best (scarpa active) That's the best advice I can give. Pick with your feet!
