7' pyramid tipi from (?') square tarp?

While I know how to turn a square tarp into a 3-sided tipi, I don't know (and can't find out) what size of square tarp is needed to form a tipi that stands 7' tall at its apex. Could some kind geometrically-minded soul help me out? Pointing me at the formula will do. TIA, Mark.

Getting a reply out of www.messtin.co.uk.

Thanks, Jared, although in researching this, I've discovered the Dutch SS equivalent. I might be better off with those . . .

Getting a reply out of www.messtin.co.uk.

I asked for a total price for a set of mess tins sent to my address (Australia) and no reply. Are they actually trading? Anyone had dealings with them? Is Brexit to blame?

    Has Siege Stoves gone bust?

I was wondering if it would be difficult to make, given some basic metalworking skills and some basic tools/materials.

    Has Siege Stoves gone bust?

I'd found both of those, but they're fairly basic; no buying options etc. which the now-gone website did have. Maybe they're re-launching?

    Has Siege Stoves gone bust?

I'd searched Kickstarter and not found anything, but one of the entries refers to Jul '18, so I think you're right. They did have a website which I can't find now, which made me suspect they'd stopped trading. Mystery solved. TYVM.

    Has Siege Stoves gone bust?

They made interlocking cross-pieces which turned various types of commonly-available can into a twig stove. Their website seems to have vanished and their FB and YT pages seem derelict; anyone know if they're still trading?

    Markings on Silva tritium compasses?

I've emailed Silva Sweden for clarification, so if/when they reply, I'll post it here. Edit; their reply; All of our tritium illuminated compasses are marked with the sticker that you mention, these are the ones named 4Bxxxx and 54Bxxx. If the compass is not marked then it might be illuminated...

    Markings on Silva tritium compasses?

Had another look; def. no vial present...I went for tritium specifically so I didn't have to use a torch. I thought the price was a little low. Not to worry, a PayPal claim is in train, and it may be an honest mistake by the seller... edit; the scale's in both mils and degrees. another edit...

    Markings on Silva tritium compasses?

I was under the impression that all such compasses (from Silva, anyway) bear the circular black/yellow 'radioactive' symbol on the front LH corner of the baseplate. I ask because I've been sold (for top dollar) a 54/360/6400 which was listed as 'tritium', but which bears no such symbol. The...
