i knew this would get it going.i like kit and i asking about a jacket etc maybe ok but dont you think that somtimes kit becomes more important than the reason for the kit.i include myself in that.the first place i go is the kit section but maybe we are going in the wrong direction.

just reading some posts about kit.isnt it going a bit far asking how warm gloves are before yuo buy them and should i buy this £5 hat or another £5 hat what string what coat what insoles what kfs what soap.dont get me wrong i like kit but i think the a=7e is beig ripped a bit.

ive used 58 patt webbing ive used plce webbing ive used privately bought chest webbing.i dont do that job anymore so ill never were it again.sorry but this kit has no place in bushcraft.just carry your kit in a daysac.dont try to look like somthing your not!

just an update i bought a nice pair of meindl burma gortex boots.bought from cotswolds in belfast excellent boots and brillant service from the guys up there.

i have plenty of modern walking kit gortex etc,but would like to get kit thats a little bit more bushcrafty kit that will take abuse wont cost a fortune i like the german army surplus stuff but dont know much about it.

just go and do it ask nothing say nothing,keep your head down ,dont make a mess and you will be alright.
