    Learning how to carve woodspirits.

Hi all. I have been toying with the idea of carving a woodspirit for a while and thought that learning to draw one first would probably help. I have been doodling away on any bits of paper or card lying around at work. Anyway, whilst sat talking to colleagues at work, I was doodling on...

The most random things people have done?

Trolley Punting. Whilst working security and a factory that was being de-commissioned, I decided that walking to do the rounds was so last year and decided to ride a trolley with caster wheels whilst pushing myself with an old mop. I even talked the next shift in to having a race before we...

Who are your Hero's and Inspirational characters?

Noel Wass. He was my next door neighbor when i was a young lad and was the biggest hearted gentlest man I have ever known. He showed me how to release my imagination. Jackie Chan. The drive and discipline to reach and achieve, and have fun on the way, is a very worth while lesson...

That is beautiful. My wife has just informed me that I now need one to complete my outfit for our forthcoming blessing. How SHARP??

I shave using a cut throat razor and take great care with the edge. I cut with the knife and keep it sharp enough to cut well. It doesn't need to be as sharp as the razor.

Don't have to many myself. There are a couple missing from this pic. I have since handled my first two blades and I am in the process of handling a third.

Does anyone bring along a guitar?

I take my penny whistle but get moaned at by the second tune. I only know 1. After reading a thread on here about instruments, I have purchased a stick dulcimer and I am currently banished from playing when the wife, kids or neighbors are in. Everyones a critic.

what do you take to occupy yourself when its dark?

I always have a book and a leather pouch with Dice in if I feel sociable. I also take my MP3 player but I never listen to it. You think I'd of stopped taking it but it seems to be like a comfort blanket.

    Kids Knives

Thanks all for the replies. I was thinking up to £20ish. I know they will grow and their skills will improve so I am reluctant to spend to much at a young age. But I was thinking Neck knife so that they would still use it when they are older. Brusletto Balder is a nice knife but I am...
