I don't know what made me come looking for this thread again. Glad to see the update with the book. I have been fascinated since the beginning. It is a shame there is no sighting or meeting. But possibly this is a nice way to draw a line under it.

Surely it shouldn't be hard to make something similar? I would love one of these but seriously can't afford £50+ for what is essentially a folding metal box. If anyone has made something similar to this, could you let me know how. Doesn't need to be folding really. Sorry for thread...

Oh and just for the record, I don't have asbergers and people don't understand me a lot of the time. (the kids do though!! And that's all that matters in my book)

Silverclaws, I would honestly recommend you go and try it. I know it is a daunting prospect getting back into it after a long break, I found it difficult to begin with, especially as they had opened its doors to girls since I last did it. But I can say without reservation that it's the best...

I think this is a brilliant idea!!! Well done to you 2 who took part and brilliant efforts. Its a shame I didn't see it earlier, my 11 year old would have loved to give it a go but time is against us now. Hopefully, we can organise another, possibly regular comp for under 16's. Andy
