I,m absolutely fed up with royal mail, over the last few weeks i,ve had a few items posted to me and they all seem to be late , i was waiting on three parcels this week , so i put a note saying to get them signed with either neighbour if i was not in , so i came in today and the wee red card was there saying i had to go to the PO and collect them but to leave 24 HOURS:vio:

My parcels all seem to be coming at the same time at the minute. It's as though they're not doing as many drops?

I had a bundle of 6 parcels come last Saturday, all from different senders and all ordered at different times. They all came together wrapped in rubber bands

I ignore the 24hr bit and go down there about 6 hours after the delivery. Works every time.

The only time they said anything I told them I'm going on holiday the next day and won't be back in time to collect them before they're sent back. They went and fetched the parcel

Hes right, the desk chaps at the sort ofice i worked at in Hook were terrible for not bothering, mainly because shift change was 1800, just when most people with slips came in after work,

I dont care about your woes as long as customs and parcel force are up to spec and delver soon, then alls good in the world for me

:lmao:... you're asking for a lot Southey.

All parcelforce will do is send you a letter telling you that they're holding a parcel that has customs to be paid on it and can you go down the nearest sorting office and pay up before you can collect it. No way will they deliver it

Lucky you. The last card I had said 48 hours (I tried after 24 hours and it was there).

I remember when they used to say 2 hours!

Cheers

Patience, people patience!
Isn't patience a bushcrafty virtue - waiting for that stove to boil, whiling the hours musing, walking slowly through the woods..?
I had thisw yesterday; I rang the office, they said it'll still be on the van until about three in the afternoon, then it takes a while to get sorted once it's back at the depot. Sounds fairly reasonable when you put it like that, although I have to admit when I'm waiting for summat shiny in the post I want it NOW!!!!
