lol seen these years ago when i was working at the outdoor show NEC when i used to work for Blacks, absolutly cracking bit of kit but the £1000 price tag put me off. The Quasar is a tad heavier but about £200 cheaper.

Problem is they are semi transparent and I wouldnt like to try one at AngleTarn looking as it does :yikes: , bit of a lightweight obsessives wet dream methinks :)

great if you are a super fit mountain marathon runner that sleeps on bubble wrap but not really a Bushcrafty choice for me I'm afraid :D

But if your absolutley sure Rich ;)

RICH!!!!!

put the credit card on the ground in front of you and walk slowly backward with your hands in the air!!!

hahahaha

i havent had it in any serious weather yet, i used it for some mountain marathon training, the prob with it is its sooo light and feels like it would break really easily however it actually doesnt, that doesnt stop you from worrying tho so you cant sleep easy in it!! well not at least untill iv tested the crap outa it. The groundsheet is what worries me the most, its wafer thin

Nice tent , but it is never worth six hundred and fifty quid ... Thats crazy stuff...

You're probably correct. I suspect the cost is a function of the fact that it's a limited production model with special materials that type of stuff is going to cost more and as a manufacturer you can add a premium as it's a 'bit special' and has X factor. It's pretty Gucchi and there is nothing wrong with that.

Looks like it's made of Cuben fibre same as the tarp tents and hammock tarps out there already.

Yeah that's what I thought too, maybe they've got their own version of it and named it Ultra ?

Looks the mutts but I doubt I can stretch that far for a tent
