Goose or duck down?

Which is the best? or is there no real difference?

Supposedly the down from eider ducks is best (eider down, to be precise).

Goose down is generaly better than duck (except eider) due to it having more loft for the same weight(higher fill power). It makes your kit much more compressible and the down will last longer. Its the fill power rating and the down/feather ratio that tells you the quality of the down.
