Hi all,

I have a pair of lime green linen shorts, which I want to turn into a more acceptable colour, and a packet of Dylon black dye.

My first question is: if I use the advised amount of dye will they turn black or some kind of dark green?

Second question: if I reduce the amount of dye will it mean they will turn a different colour, ie olive green or green/grey?

Thanks for any help you can offer..

If you use the recommended amount they will turn out black as advertised (or as near as darn it)

reducing the amounts will be a case of trial and error i'm afraid.....

......... however...... a pack of dylon dies quite a lot of fabric so if you use say 1/2 diluted if it doesn't look right you could use the other 1/2 to turn it black;)

What a good idea! Thanks..
