I'd just chuck em, in the back of the cupboard for a rainy day! or if i really didn't like them:yuck: I'd give them to my Neighbour!:lmao:

Good luck! I'm look forward to seeing it!
If you need any parts I have some you can have:
hazel drills (very dry!)
Poplar (which was cut recently needs drying but will do you well).
and some flints with dips you could use as a bearing block.

And remember the bow, don't make it too springy or the string won't grip the drill!
Any problems just ask!
;)

Yeah made the Bow today kinda snapped the drill i had set up

got a couple pics i will post soon

spoke to a few people and reckon a new car is on the cards, no lifts for a while guys:sad6:
keeping the 12 disk changer and alloy wheels though!:p

I'm starting to get that horrible feeling that i need to sort out my kit (and i have a lot!) I may end up swapping some of it, (I was collecting various bit's and pieces of bush-crafty kit) But I'll tell you Local guy's what first.:You_Rock_

The mouse? naah it's a Bushcraft bird call!

I have to say Globetrotter gave a sterling effort, as you can see smoke was made, and Globetrotter really was knackered! Good effort mate!:You_Rock_
I should point out that the squeaking usually means the drill is rattling and to solve the problem you just push down more, If you don't push down it sort of polishes and eventually you get no friction which is what happened in the last part of the film, when no smoke was produced but lots of noise, but i think he had cramp by then
(It's not a comedy;) )

Heavy items? not sure what you mean. cash is o.k. though.
I'm not sure I have stuff you'd want though Kai Leingod.

I have all sorts of stuff, most of it not too heavy as it's mostly stuff designed to be carried in a rucksack.

Lol ok I get it, it was a bad joke. If your selling anything I could use to cook over I am intrested.
I got more than enough rope and I realy want now is a good sleeping bag I now have a self inflating mat with bivvy.
And a large tarp / basha is all I want to finish up with a bergan I'm now starting to buy all the webbing and smaller pouches and clothes (mostly millitary)

Dang it Rap - will you stop making me jealous :p

How’s the car? The reason I ask is that I’ll be over on the coast for the Easter bank holiday and was wondering if you would be available around that time for a bit of a bimble; I’d like to pick your brains on bow drill technique – and either find some horse shoe fungus... Or (he says with an evil grin and a maniacal laugh) mug you for some! Being serious I'd happily be chauffeur for the day if your car is still dead.

PS sorry I didn't make last weeks little gathering - architetcs from all over the country were conspiring against me (It's a conspiracy I tell you!!!:aargh4: )

A Monster Forems Formentarius (Hoof Fungi), found in Norfolk!

DSC00052.jpg

I think the responsible thing to do, is allow it to continue to grow and create future spores!
Therefore I'm not going to tell anyone where i saw it, you never know who is watching and may abuse delights like this. but there were several more smaller palm-sized harvestable ones in the area
suffice to say the so called rare fungi does grow very well in Norwich!:D

car is a-gonna! :( The cam belt went and to be fair it needs a few bit doing to it Price wise will come to more than the car is worth.
anyhow My wife and i after some good advice are looking at getting a TD estate (that's more reliable) we have a couple we're going to look at.

I will be free in the Easter holls, during the 2nd week. perhaps if we have a meet in the center of Norwich (haven't had one there for a while) then more people will be able to make it I know Globetrotter, Kai Leingodand(+ friend), Lord lurcher, and myself are local Damascus and Snufkin should be able to get to us quite easily. I know a patch of Hoof fungi now i can take you to!
(you choose a date as I'm free all week)
just putting kids to bed..... :banghead:

Looks like Rap invited you and your mate, Kai back on post 335, and personally speaking, the more the merrier.

If you mean what I think you mean by bush cooker, I got a bushbuddy (as I understand it the bush cooker is pretty much identical) back when the pound was worth something, and they are great little stoves - you've made a good choice there mate.
