Outdoor Working boots Safety (steel toe)

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
On closer inspection, they seem a little soft in the sole to have a steel midsole. However, they are a size 9, so if you want, PM me your address and i'll send them to you, if you like them you can Paypal me the postage costs. If you don't fancy them and your sorted, no worries. :)

Jed, keep them for someone else, the steins are fine for what i'm after, but i will know next time what to look for.

Thanks for the offer it is very kind of you to consider giving away something to a complete stranger. :)

PM sent.

Many thanks, but i'm inundated with the stuff, so thanks very much, but i think others may benefit more. Take some virtual rep!;)

Steel midsole isn't too much of a problem seeing as i am not on a construction site.........info is for anyone else who stumbles accross this thread.

And whats funny?

wish my boots did have a steel midsole. Stood on a hawthorn thorn the other day and it went straight through the sole of my boot. Really hurt, just glad it wasn't blackthorn:eek:

The first reason I got clogs was I got fed up of nails going through the fairy slipper "safety boots" when I was in the pallet factory. An inch thick beech clog sole prevents that from happening.
Sorry if you are upset lost planet. It just amuses me all the expensive "hi tech" footwear solutions on sale and (IMHO) the best traditional (low tech) soultion as been there all along.

Sorry to be cheeky, but was just reading up on boots and wondered if you still had the boots that you talk of above going spare?

:You_Rock_

On the off chance so I dont have to drop all me wages on a pair, never know your luck?

Kind regards

Liam

Don't know if my post will still be relevant (i.e. if you are still looking for work safety boots). Anyway, I'd recommend dark brown leather Timberlands. I wear them myself. There are lots in the Internet, but I usually order them at http://www.safetybootsuk.co.uk. Good luck.

Hey, I'm looking for a decent pair of workman's boots, like Catapillar or Petrolium with the padded ankle support, steel capped toe, but more reasonably priced? Iether sand coloured or black, preferably.

Like these catapillar boots for example. I might actually shop on Amazon in the end but I've never purchased mens boots online before so am a bit hesitant. If anyone has a good online site to recommend, or even highstreet store. Thanks!
