This is meshcore rather than meshtastic.
It's a technology that interests me from the nerd POV but, and this is an important factor, I cannot for the life of me think what I would actually use it for! I've vague notions that I might be able run a packet BBS, but in all honesty the number of people likely to be interested is so infinitesimally small as to be virtually non-existent.
It has huge promise as a decentralised messaging system, running on very low power kit. However it's very immature and unstable. There is a growing user base, but before it can become really useful it needs to mature. To mature it needs more adoption - there are too many holes in the mesh. But to increase adoption, users need to see some use and need it to be more stable...

It also needs to adopt some sort of security to lock out rogue nodes, which is at odds with the "come one, come all" philosophy it's operated on to date.
