I’ve been modifying this tipi for all of the sixteen years since it was new.

I’ve thought about this for a couple of years, maybe more. Today I got around to attempting it.

I can very quickly drop part or all of the wall in case of weather or modesty. You have never seen disdain like that on the face of a sheep that’s caught me in the buff.

It’s by no means right yet but to an adequist such as myself: it will do for now.

Chuffed.

Other tipis will lust upon this, it looks like you’re recreating that famous Marilyn Monroe shot. :D

Is the idea to provide shade/rain cover, whilst enjoying the views à la tarp?

That’s better.
A bit more secure and a little smarter if that matters. I might still lift all the walls so that it’s very different from just having both doors open which has been normal. This is more panoramic if not completely so.

The outer guys are designed to be braced against the taught seams, sort of reverse Notre Dame. It wouldn’t stand much wind with eight out of ten of it’s inner ring of pegs missing but then I probably wouldn’t want it to.
