Cheap good backpack for work?

I go through backpacks at work quite quickly, I have to carry standard stuff mostly, but I can also carry a small laboratory around too.

The budget is around £40, as work will be paying, but as they need a vat receipt, it has to be a shop order/online.

Any recommendations? I prefer mollie compatible, but a strong backpack mostly.

Links for recommendations please, and unfortunately they will not buy a 5.11 bag.... budget is £40.

Budget wise I’m not sure offhand, but more importantly we need to know size, does it need internal organisation like pen and pad slots, laptop slot, equipment slots? That’ll mean a clamshell type design that opens out.

Or, stuff a main central pocket with everything and have the lab kit in a pouch that you can pull out as needed?

It is possible you might tap up @beachlover for info. I know of nobody else who has owned as many different bags over the years as this man

Looking at 35 litres. For the money there is a lot out there, but with normal use that straps keep pulling away from the bag, and fed up with sewing them back.

Ideally, I would buy a 5.11 rush 12 or 24 and be done, but the company kind of looks at short term with kit like bags.

I'll tag onto this thread as well, it's a handy size rucksack for me and your requirements don't seem so far off mine.

I bought a Trespass one for work (muddy as get out) and was surprised at just how long it lasted. Ended up spraying it with fabsil, but for well under twenty quid it owed me nothing by the time it went into the bin.

The Regatta ones lasted fairly well too, but the foam in the straps failed on that. If you're changing often, that's not an issue though.

I got a “tactical” type backpack recently from TK maxx of all places seems spacious and tough enough, has Molle, one big main pocket and smaller as well as side pockets, and not at expensive
