British Army Mesh Bag?

I have seen that a German military surplus shop offers original British army mesh bags.
They are green, have a draw string closure and the dimensions 38 x 16 cm or 26 x 13 cm


Are they for onions and garlic or what is the intended use?

Organiser type bags in a medical pouch I believe.

I have bought the bigger versions and use them to organize my socks. One type of socks in one pouch, another type in another pouch and so on.
Easy to find the type of socks I need. Earlier all of them was mixed in a basket.

I've always used them as dhobi bags, if there's a group of you that need to wash your smalls it's easier to put them in a bag and then throw them in an oil barrel of water and persil and churn away, it saves you accidentally putting on your mates underwear.
