Best quality camo fleece jacket

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
There is a dark dpm fleece with itchy collar and large wrist collars, got exchanged for the "not buffalo" shirt. To be honest though most fleeces are shades of green these days.

If you do want camo have a look at helikon, massif, Odin

I prefer the classic stuff myself. I think they call it ‘pile’.
Yes, fleece takes up the body aroma very well. Synthetics do.
But I never wear synthetics, inluding HH fleece, against my skin anyway!

Since I posted the initial post, I checked and I do not think they do a fleece that is Camo, unless you count Forest Green as Camo.

Camo is sooooo last year......
:)

What's a "cold morning?" We have cold mornings here. February was a lot of -30C.
I wear Carhartt for comfort, warmth, wind proof and decades of endurance. Dakota would be #2, down my list.
I have an Eddie Bauer down coat but can't wear it warmer than -20C.
Look at a Carhartt Canyon. I have an Aussie Outback Trading coat for -5C and warmer.

What's on your head to prevent heat loss?

Well, take a look at Carhartt online. You might not like any of the styles.
The company has a genuine reputation for hard wearing outdoor work clothes.

My village (McBride) has been a railroad town, right from the beginning.
I'll venture to guess that 90% of the railroad outside workers wear Carhartt.
Since this is a mountain valley, the wind blows, most of the time.
Carhartt canvas is water resistant and certainly wind proof.
