Good to see an oldie but goodie getting some use. My Vango Force 10 (only about 35 years old) used to be that shade of bright orange!

This, the ESVO Mandan, is the closest modern equivalent I can find to the Blacks GC range.........not cheap though......

Just acquired a Good Companion Standard with extended fly................
Really pleased and a wonderful design with some thoughtful touches. The extended fly is a monster piece, and would make a great tarp on its own.
Most definitely a 2 person tent at 7 x 5 ' (not 3 man, as the original ads would suggest), but the extension just gives so much space for cooking/storage/sleeping/socialising.
Groundsheet is superb quality and the whole tent at over 45 years old is just in superb if faded condition. Just proofed it.
It will be superb for 2 in the canoe or a base for a few nights?. For me alone I have the lavvu...............
I may yet ask a sailmaker in the winter to make a second fly, using mine as a pattern, using "Weathermax". That would be something.............. Very lucky bunny methinks.....

I think, looking at "Tengu" ad, his/hers was a Minor. The one I have been fortunate to get is a Standard.................
