I'm looking for a 30 - 40l day pack to replace my aged Berghaus Vercors.

Budget is £40 tops, and I'd prefer one with side pockets for easy access to brew kit etc.

What are my options? NI pack or a Molle type jobby? Most of my walks are on open fell with occasional forays into trees.

These packs keep cropping up all over Amazon for around £25 the blurb says 50L
but it's a multi-compartment design so may have issues accepting some larger items of kit.
Wife has the same tactical bum-bag so it must be detachable on this pack as well.

At that price range the Berghaus Munro is bombproof and pouches can be found to act as side pockets using the compression straps.

May sound a little bizarre, but you could check your local Aldi.

Just bought my son a decent pack, sides pockets, raincover, fully adjustable waist and chest straps... and it has a webbed back support... £6.99

Only issue I have with it is its red and orange, but the price, can't really knock it just on that. Checked online at other retailers and its being sold for £40 everywhere else.

Most of these bags are absolute trash, I love a cheap deal.....I don't love losing my kit through torn seams.

Have a look for the PRI issue 50L bags mate, mine was cheap as chips still had sniper tape on and cost about £16.

No probs mate.

See the link below:

The army issue (I have desert issue) bag does not have a waist belt due to the requirement of battle webbing, I modded mine with another from an old bag.

Please excuse what I'm sure will be an obvious question but what is PRI issue?
