Hi all,
My first post after joining the forum so be gentle!
I've enjoyed camping in various forms for the last 30 odd years, mainly motorcycle rallies, motorcycle touring or in the campervan, but not really done the wild camping/Bushcraft/backpack thing.
I'm very much a "gadget man" and ended up taking so much stuff that the last trip on the bike we did in May took me nearly 3 hours to pack up!! Things had to change, so i'm trying to take it right back to basics and have nearly finished assembling my kit after seeing what other people take out.
It is certainly a fascinating subject and want to explore it further, it is such a shame that some of these bushcraft courses cost so much money and also that you can't just go wandering off into the woods (in England, anyway) for days either!!
Any other Staffordshire guys/gals out there? Where do you go to practice your "art"?
Thanks for reading.
Simon
