it really was! can't wait till this years bury-me-wick folk festival lol

Dave I dont know if we are doing the festivall this year because of my dads 75th birthday party but i think it will be a good idea to have something just for the bushcrafters. Maybe a vintige folk bushcraft exstravaganzer wear we all get involved, dress up and have a real good time. Maybe do it at giants seat were there is good parking and toilets for if peple want to bring ther partners. We could keep the theme from the festivall but do crafts in the day and at night have a good sing along and listen to some good old folk music. Of course there will have to be rules and no sillyness of drunkun foolerly but we all know bushcrafters know how to behave and folk music is quiet relaxing and goes well with a good fire. What do you think dave? could it be posable to have a bushcraft folk theme camp in the future.my bushcraft 004.jpgmy bushcraft 002.jpgmy bushcraft 005.jpgI hope so.

Mate thats a great idea, we'll have a natter about it on the the camp in april. but i reckon something akin to what you guys did at your dads would be a great idea. we could go up on the thursday and get everything ready for the Saturday folk festival type thing lol. Would be pretty cool and the shower/toilet facilities would def be a bonus mate. If people are up for getting involved i'm more than happy mate.

That and we already have some dates for an extended meet, this would be the ideal time to do it probably!!

Bring her along !! A good chat, some good food and a warm fire, she'll love it :D

It's really really not her kind of thing, even with the facilities onsite at giants seat. I'm already anticipating her thinking I'm going to be abused and murdered when I tell her I'm going camping with a bunch of chaps I met on the internet -_- she will get over it though.

Woot Woot this is promising o be a truly EPIC meet, looking forward to some singsongs and a tipple round the fire!

Should have my new trail hawk finished and masked by then too so looking forward to having a play with it!!!!! might carve a really big spoon with it, something similar to Riams Birch paddle but with a bowl in it lol.

will be good to catch up with good mates in the appropriate setting lol.

Anybody got any idea what the weather will likely be and/or the temperature?

Also, is there usually plenty of fallen deadwood up for grabs at the site, or should I plan on bringing my own?

lol what axe is it Matt?

what kind of grind etc?

The best man to speak to is probably Jason he loves his axes and is definitely the man to talk to with regard to sharpening one i would say, although others are pretty good too!

that could be the basis of a workshop/skill share lol
