Hi James, been a while mate, hope you are well, there are various spots not too far from the action where you can put your tipi,and with it only being a short walk from car to site it wont be a problem, also i have a wheelbarrow on site to transfer some of the kit for the go light gang!

UH OH! I am now a little worried, as some of last weekends behaviour was a bit of a blur! But fire away, if you can't take it don't dish it out.

Last weekend's meet was the most i have laughed yet, i think the skip forager will agree, for once his hanky was used for the purpose it was intended (tears)

Right! Just under 3 weeks to go, and the order is in for reasonable weather! Just a little reminder, could everyone bring a small container of water.

If you require to sit in comfort, bring a chair/seat of some description.

There are toilets and washing facilities at the farm shop ( about a mile away),and the same at the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre ( about 2 miles)

Now the biggy! We have always parked on the road just outside the wood, the road is plenty wide enough and there are no restrictions, but as some of you will know a woman smashed into my car a couple of weeks ago, so because there will be so many vehicles, we can either park elsewhere and operate a ferry system, or put some road traffic cones etc to warn motorists of the obvious! The road is the main route to Dartmoor and as a result people drive too fast along it, but visibility is very good and i have found when parked there it tends to slow them down.

I am funding, a whole lamb and ingredients for a large stew, but if more group catering is required you may be asked to contribute a small amount towards the cost.Other than that you can choose to feed yourselves.

As there is a large number of us, and we will be spread all over the wood, you can have small individual fires(leave no trace)
But as usual we will have one large fire in the main gathering area , there is plenty of firewood, but it goes without saying no cutting of live trees/branches.

If anyone wants a particular kind of wood for carving etc, just let me know and i will organise it.

Park elsewhere and a ferry system has got to be favourite. Twenty plus cars with cones around them could attract the unwanted attentions of certain undesirables 'Park'ed just down the road methinks.

Undesirables on Dartmoor!! How very dare you Mr Newman! At least everyone can decide once they have unloaded their kit, one thing i will say, is if the unthinkable happens re your concern, i think we would hear any activity, due to the proximity of vehicles.

I am thinking of certain undesirables who reside just down the road - see 'Park'ed (their little house) get it? - and who might take exception to our presence on THEIR beloved Dartmoor.

Apologies, Green Man, i am well within my 28 day remit, so if one of those, good for nothing,nosey,spoilt,land rover driving,lazy,do nort,Rock Inn drinking,ride around the National Park, snakey,underhanded, educated Archie's, so much as set foot in the wood, you will see me at my absolute finest in verbal destruction.

I actually hope they pop in for a coffee, as tail between legs,red faced departure will be great fun indeed.
