Only 4 sleeps to go now, very exciting. One more working day.

Got a few bits to check this weekend and the car to pack, I am almost certainly bringing far too much. But hey, in it for comfort these days.

You never have too much kit - though some folk bring too little and need the wise ones to loan them the kit they are needing!:D

My arrival is now in question as my wife is in hospital for at least the next 24hrs thanks to an severe nose bleed - a curse upon blood thinners! If I arrive - I arrive ...

Hope your wife’s doing ok John.

Hopefully have a shelter and a fire going this time tomorrow, if the rear suspension of my car can survive the kit mountain I have packed.

Had an absolutely brilliant time. Thanks for organising it Tony, and the Forest Knights team for the workshops and top notch cooking.

Lovely to meet so many friendly and welcoming people, all more than happy to share their extensive knowledge, too. Got my first ever fire from a proper flint and steel (not ferro rod) thanks to Mr Fenna! And a slightly sore head from some very suspiciously labelled raspberry ‘port’, also thanks to Mr Fenna.

Can’t wait for the next one.

Ahhhhh, Chris it was your own doing (fire and Port) :)
I too had a great time, meeting old and new friends, being flooded out of my pitch and eating far too much.
Many thanks to all the moot team for a great event - especially Tony!

I’m back from another successful wintermoot. This one was a bit wetter than I would have liked, it’s February, sometimes it rains. We had plenty of cover so not a real problem although cooking with heavy pots in mud adds a certain excitement.

Lots of meals cooked and techniques demonstrated.
