Very compact and small hand trowel. Very light. As such easy to pack for a load out. The handle is hollow, so small sundries can be stored therein if wished. The handle has a "thumb off" cap on the end.
The blade is located with a sprung button. Many find this too stiff in some reviews, but I have no problem with mine, and it holds the blade securely. The blade itself, seems very tough, and can dig into some fairly tough and hard dry soils, quite impressed with that; but don't expect to perform well on stony ground.
It does all that can be asked of a small trowel, and does it better than one would think. All for about £8
