Hi all,

Just got back from B&Q having bought two cheap axes they had on offer and dropped in to see my Grandfather. Anyway, long story short, he has an axe head and handle but can't really find anyone that can do it properly. He's been around the houses so to say trying to find people that can do it, following leads only to find that the people had either passed on or no longer lived there.

Any ideas?

It's something he'd really like done so I don't think posting it off somewhere is out of the question, but obviously he wants it done to a high standard, not just someone giving it their best shot because they've done it a couple times :D

Any advice appreciated!

It is a pretty simple process - I was doing it regularly when 14years old.

Hardest bit can be finding a decent handle. A lot have poor grain.
