The finds are all stunning to look at now but imagine what they looked like new :eek:

Did anyone hear if the artefacts were found damaged in situ or had plough damage really worked them over ?

It's a real stunning find. As for the damage they suspect it might be a war hoard as some of the crosses were deliberately folded up to fit in a container and this is something no christian of the time would have done.But some of it is also plough damage.

What amazed me was the level some of it was found.... sitting right on the surface :eek:
