Travelling around Oz on my motorbike I stopped in some fab spots.
The best were near boreholes so I could swim and watch the wildlife drink. Coastal places with water particularly up in the North made me anxious because of crocs so I avoided stopping overnight here.
I also went more than a mile or so ‘off road’ before making a camp.
If you have ever seen the outback road signs you’ll know why. Shot up with 308’s so I didn’t want to be hit by hoons strays!
Tasmania coastal overnights are highly recommended and similar NZ.
There are some fab spots in sunny Suffolk as well.
