Wye Valley Camping & Canoeing - Recommendations please

Hi, I wondered if anyone had good experiences (or bad ones to steer clear of!) with campsites in the Wye Valley that have easy access to the water for canoeing? Would prefer a site that isn't too big or commercial - if I can have a fire even better!

I have had several good nights at tresseck farm. Fires allowed. Thry even sell wood if you forget to collect any. No shower blockd etc. Judt a portaloo and tap. I cany wait to go again. There phone number id available if you google them.

I camped here - http://www.lovecamping.co.uk/campsites/west-midlands/herefordshire/yellow-wood-bush-camp last Easter with a friend, it was quite nice and I believe there is access to water to paddle on close by.

You can hire a boat at Hay-on-Wye

There's a lovely little Camping and Caravanning club site at Boughrood Brest, a few miles west of Glasbury. Glasbury has excellent access to the river, and the campsite is open to non-members. Basic facilities, but a superb view of the Black Mountains.

Oh yeah, i forgot to add that there is direct access yo the river for canoes at tresseck
