Is that true? The boxes and paperwork are quite a recent introduction and I'd have thought that the earlier knives would have fetched more, what with the better handle profile and such. Still I would imagine Woodlore will be happy to flog an empty box to any prospective purchaser.

I've had my alan wood woodlore and ranger knives since about 2002 I think. Apare from a few Emails from Alan I didn't get any boxes or official paperwork with them. I can't say that I bought them as a collector, I use them regularly and they continue to give me great service.
