Woodland Spring Shoot

Among the burgeoning Bluebells, apple-sharp sorrel and early blossom the early spring warmth beckoned to shoot my latest Hazel Bow. Now stained a light brown and imbued with paleolithic fervour I set about putting it through its paces...not to mention mine...

Great pics, and great bow. I've been toying with the idea of making one for a while, but need some pointers. Any tips? Diameter of stock, length of time seasoning, first steps in splitting it and so on - would be really grateful.
