windows 7 - how to post a link?

I have just been forced to get a new confuser and it runs on windows 7.
Mostly I have figured it out .... but how do I post a link?
I am missing the bar across the top of the screen (as on my old XP) with all the bits includingpage copy/paste etc and cannot figure out how to post a link without it or to replace the bar...
Anyone able to help me?

Press alt and the tool bar will appear then click View then Toolbars then make sure all of the tool bars are selected, they will remain put then.

in internet explorer there should be a small blue e top left, right click on this and click on menu bar
you then get the old drop down menus in the file list is send a link

Install Google Chrome John, it'll take a wee while to get used to it but it's much easier in the long run

Firefox first, Chrome is another google product never out of Beta and it's buggy as hell.
