Hi Guys

As some of you know I did a little exercise some time ago in finding out how many bushcraft schools where out there in the world?

A while back I had to take it off as I was having problems with the site. I have now sorted that out, only to find that some twenty schools from the first listing have dropped off the edge from the UK and a similar number from the states.

It may be they have just changed web address.

Anyway if you know of a school that is not listed please let me know so that I can add them to the list.

I hope you find the site useful.

Best wishes

Geoffrey

I think you'll find a lot more going 'off line' in the future, people don't have the money anymore to pay for these trips.

Geoffrey, that is sure one definitive list - exactly what it says on the tin mate.

Am I seeing things, according to your listings, there are more schools in the UK than US ?? I can remember the days when you could count them on one hand !!

Maybe all the guys that have packed up this side are setting up over there, seems to be more room...:lmao:

Take it easy mate

Hi Timboggle

Yes it is true there are more schools here than the USA, and I am sure there will be more to come.

Thanks for your support and thanks the guys who have sent in the new links which have all been posted.

I would be interested in other ideas for the site, for example I was thinking of putting up something on Flint Knapping or Basket making, any ideas on themes/headings as a lot of schools offer similar subjects?

Aye

Geoffrey

PS I am interested to know if people actually use it and do you think it is a good resource?

Hi Geoffrey

How about 'Primitive Technology' for the new theme ??

It's a very good resource, without a doubt and well done on doing the research and putting it together

Thanks mate

Yes it is a good resource.

Yes I have used it in the past, but recently I couldn't find my link to it so handy that you posted Geoffrey. As far as titles / themes for basket making or flint knapping I think "Primitive Arts" would be good as "Primitvie Skills" is a point of undertsatement, all the best,

Leon.
