taken some weeks ago.

these are hard to catch in flight so fast and jerky.
someone on the reserve put out this apple with seeds in it.
they couldn't land so had to try to hover and for the first time i got some good wing detail.
i stood in the treeline in my little spot and waited it was quite warm in the sunshine with no wind.

the sunbathing squirrel was on my balcony 1/2 hour i lent out my bedroom window with a 300mm lens to get the shot.
i sent it in with some others to autumn watch which made the best liked list.

In the woods if possible.
I can only echo what Tom said! They're fantastic shots! What camera are you using? Must have a large aperture lens to take shots so fast? Image stabilization?

A good place to visit is Mull.

Think it easier to get the White tailed Eagles in shot than Goldies though.

White Tailed Eagles were spotted over Inchmarnock (Bute) a few weeks ago. Hopefully that means they are doing well and extending from the release grounds on Mull.
