Why foraging

Well it all started with a walk!!!!!!!!

Then I noticed a bird I didn't know

Then a flower

then a mushroom

then a bug

I like to take pictures

everyday is a schoolday

you just kind of slide right in there lol.

Oh and most important it's fun and you are sometimes in really interesting company.
 
Working as a chef for the best part of my life... oh' the party's :)
In the past few months alone, I have tried tastes and textures (not all good mind!) that I would have never come across otherwise.
There's hundreds of undiscovered (for me anyways, as-yet) herbs, spices and eddibles that are fascinating to try!

Ramson bulbs, sweet violet, hairy bittercress, lime leaves, amethyst deceiver, slippery jacks, and on it go's.

As a chef I forage for the unknow tastes. Quality of wild food is so much better, its fresh!
I forage because its free, to connect with the seasons, and with my environment.
