Hi,

I've been playing with my hammock, sorting mesh suspension and cutting a foam mat to fit inside. However, in the process, one of the whoopie slings that I got just the other day from The Big Lebowski got pulled somehow, as if making the loop smaller, and the loop has pulled entirely into the sleeve part, How do I get it back out? It won't push out from the other end.

Trust me to muck it up! :(

All help appreciated.

Mike

How far has it gone in? - Try and loosen up the weave of the sleeve where the loop has pulled through then see if you can work some round ended wire in, or some jewellers pliers to gradually and softly pull it back out - don't force anything. I put beads on the loops of all my whoopies when I make them to prevent such an occassion but you could tie something on, or put on a split ring.

I've stuck a small karabiner on the other one to stop the problem occurring there, but have left my wife struggling with some knitting needles to get it back out. Don't know how far in it went - just barely I think (hope)

Good tip for the loop and the loose adjuster end. You need something to stop you 'un-doing' the whoopie. Neither is a disaster as you can re-make or pick your way out of trouble. However, if you are anything like me you only do it when you are trying to set up in the wind/rain/dark, etc!
