I'm looking for the loan of stuff not a freebie and if I wasn't unemployed then I'd buy it myself. But then if I had a job I wouldn't have time to do the walk! I'm looking for a company that would help supply me with footwear, waterproofs etc in return for good publicity. So if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
My blog, if anyone is interested is here

Have you created a sponsorship pack to let potential sponsors know what they are getting for their money? No just thing as free these days. You have to show a business they will be getting something for their investment. Do you have links in place with local and national media? Newspapers, radio and television coverage of the walk. Links to charities etc all help to bring in the funding. Raising sponsorship sponsorship is hard work and requires a professional approach.

All in hand. I've been a journalist and also done media/PR work.

Don't know how to go about pouncing stuff off companies I'm afraid but I genuinely wish you the very best with your walk, your cause is a great one...my mum lost her battle with it and died a couple of weeks ago.

Hope all goes well :)

Sorry about your mum. You're welcome to walk with me for a morning/afternoon/day when I do my walk in June.

Thank you, that might be nice :) Do you know your proposed route yet?

I'm a veteran of 3 Nijmegen marches, a Death march, the Centurion and a few years in a TA unit that seemed to like lots of running and walking lol so if I can help in any way with advice then please just ask :)
