i have some of this too, i got it from both the pound shop and the 99p store.. prefer the pound shop one for feel, but the colour of the 99p one the tan is a little darker..

ive used about 4 coils of it with my youth groups showing them some simple knots and bracelets / lanyards.

theres a 99p shop in eastbourne called family bargain, its a bit like lidls or aldi, but cheaper, most things are 99p but they also have other stuff thats just cheap, but they've got some good stuff there inbetween all the c***, i bought a really cheap but very useable multitool there for just under £3 pound which i'm modifying currently, and all my tent pegs come from there cause there really cheap and suprisingly strong, plus they have many bags of the cord you mention for 99p, its a good place

not affliated or anything by the way, just love cheap stuff, my favourite bits of gear are the bits that are really cheap and either constantly being repaired or modified

I quite like this cord, I know it's not the "real" 550 stuff, but it's very useable, and I dont agonise about cutting a bit off to try something out, like I do with 550 cord at 7p per foot!

Tied a bit round a high branch today (about 8 foot up) with a loop about 18 inches from the ground to put my boot in. It stretched until it met the ground (and didn't fully return) but didn't snap - I was quite impressed. Knots (perfection loop & figure-of-eight on the bight loop) came undone without too much of a struggle too!
