Here's one for you, found on the edge of woodland in a lowland heath.

Looks like a windfall pear (?) nibbled by a mouse and a slug or two.

Nope and nope, well locum is half right, the slugs got at it after the first animal took a bite or two.

Quite neat around the skin parts which might indicate the smaller perpetrator!?

Nope, could have been wasps that had a little nibble afterwards, but a mammal took several bites. The clue is their if you look at the bite mark closely.

I've seen fox have a go at fallen fruit...the tooth marks look small though.

looking at the possible teeth marks around the radius of the bite in piccy #2...

I would say deer.

Yes, it was bunnies. In the first pic you can see the indent of the incisor marks. Not much there to give it scale as the whole place was covered in bunny-poo and might have made things easier.
