Which folding bow saw for dry wood is currently available the best on the market?

And why???

Please give at first the names of producer and model.
And please answer at the beginning the following questions:

What is the length of the blade in cm?

What is the weight of the saw with blade but without any pouches in grams?

What is the current price in £, $ or € ?

And please tell me than, what's about your preferred folding bow saw.

Please DON'T write here about folding pruning saws like Bahco Lapplander, or do it yourself projects!

I want to know something about folding bow saws I can buy in a shop or order in the internet and take it out of the package and put it in my ruck sack, canoe or pulka.

I hope to read here some comments and reviews and informations about folding bow saws for sub zero degrees solo winter camping and as equipment for hiking groups around 6 to 8 persons in cold and rainy weather!

Yes I own a saw like this. That's why I know how helpfull is the concept.
But unfortunately the good old "Sawivor" left the market.
What do you recommend today?

I've had a Bob Dustrude folding bow saw for some years and it's excellent, far better than the wooden (Ray Mears type saws) folding buck saws.
There's a similar one on the market which I've seen Joe Robinette ( the YouTube guy)
Use that looks good and robust.
I know you said no folding pruning saws but Silky are really good.

Yes, Silkys are good.

But for dead standing dry wood frame saws are better!

For a group of 6-8 people and with the need to keep a fire going I would take a fixed bowsaw. Maybe more weight but more people means less weight, per person, of all of the other equipment used for food etc. A larger group will find it harder to rely on firewood that doesn't need processing and a middlesized bowsaw works better than a smaler one if one must fell somewhat larger trees.

Bob destrude takes some beating for a folding bow saw.

Longer blade and less fiddly than the sawvivor. Its shaped like a normal bow saw so better on bigger logs than a sven saw

Oh, that looks very good!

Yes, a triangular saw is idiotic. You can't use the full length of the blade.
So, you carry weight around you can't use.

A normal bow saw is without any question a good option for a group.
But off course a folding saw of the same size is better, because you get it better in the luggage.

I meant to put it in the ruck sack.

The bow saw fits under the flap of a German, Swiss or Swedish Tornister without any problems.

I own them all, but they unfortunately became a bit pricy last time.

Another option would be to throw a Stihl in a Mercedes G, a Husquarna in a Land Rover Defender or the cheap but good Dolmar in the lovely little new Suzuky Jimny.

That's, by the way, the most comfortable way, but NOT A FOLDING BOW SAW!
