If you aren't confident re-profiling an axe, I would give Wtterlings a miss. If you are you will probably end up with a cheaper axe thats as good if not better.

The bevels on the last three I have tidied looked as though they had been ground by a blind man with a house brick

I got a Wetterlings hunters axe yearsterday, and the profile most of all resembled a carving axe; asymetrical, and not quite even. I'll also run a file over the neck to smooth out the sharp corners left there.
