Where to buy--- canvas

Anyone know anywhere i can buy decent heavyweight (24oz) canvas? by the metre (of the type used to make patrol tents etc?)

I doubt you'll find any canvas as heavy as 24oz/yd². 15oz/yd² is more the usual weight for patrol tents and the like.

Might be worth giving Bradford Cover & Tent (BCT) a ring.

I don't have the link but on ebay you can buy heavy treated canvas by the metre with a choice of 10 colours. A quick search should find it...no affiliation and all that.

Just out of interest what weight canvas would you recomend for a tarp? i'm looking to make my own and just finding out where to start.
