where to aquire aluminium backpack stays ?

Could anyone help me source aluminium backpack stays, as the ones I have are a couple of inches short.

B&Q, Wickes etc have suitable aluminium sections in 1m lengths.

Have you used them please bilmo? Just wondering of the stiffness softness etc you know what I mean. It did occour to me but I didn't think the aluminium would be springyness

I haven't used them, but I will be doing so very soon in a rucksack build I have on the go.
I'll let you know how I get on with them.

Buy some of the aluminium from a DIY shop it will be a fraction of the price of getting them from a rucksack manufacturer.
