CTO - Colour Temperature Orange
CTB - Colour Temperature Blue
FL - not sure but probably fluorescent

They're used to correct flash colour, e.g. if you taking a photo indoors with an incandescent light but want to add a bit extra light you can add a CTO filter over the flash to warm the colour of it to approximate the the colour of the incandescent ambient light. You don't get two colours of light in the same photo this way making some things look natural and others look either orange or blue depending how you set your white balance.

I have a Crumpler, no idea which one, my ex bought it for me but didn't think to ask if my kit will fit in it It's a backpack one where the bottom half is for camera gear and the top half is open for any old stuff.
