I spotted this under the apple tree at the bottom of the garden last week. Walking back home the evening before last, I saw loads more in the grass, but didn't see them the next morning. They were there again though tonight. So I reckon that the flowers close during the night time, and only open again at least two hours after dawn. And the leaves being like grass or wild garlick (allium canadense) I wouldn't notice them.

Thank you, we have one of these in the greenhouse in our garden. No idea where it came from (probably compost pile...) and no idea what plant it was. But because it's so beautiful we let it grow. Now I have a name for it, thanks!
