what to do with yew?

i may have got my grubby mitts on afew bits of yew from the local vicar.
apart from longbows what can i do with it?
ps i know its horrifically toxic and not to breath the dust etc

ah yes carve it but what?
i have an idea to use some of it for staves to season and some for scales of knives but i have the chance for a large amount
if you can arrange transport for it i might be able to arrange something

It's great for a nice throwing stick or a bow for a bow drill set

Nice furniture. Tallboys, desks, Dining room tables. If you get lots of it you could season it and then have it planked and sell it to the furniture industry.

maybe combine the two pieces

Mum has a spinning wheel made of it, love the zebra effect when its been in the light but she's taken great care to keep hers in the shade and its a lovely honey pattern now its in its mid 30s So as a smaller project, I suggest spindles
