What are those bits that fit on an anvil called?

Hardies is the overall name.

But if they have grooves in them then yes they are swaging tools. Might be worth picking up Tengu if the price is reasonable.

They often do well on eBay. Though send me a message if you do buy them.

The term 'bottom tools' could be used but most of us call them 'anvil tools'. There are loads of kinds, although they nearly all go into the hardie hole (the square one) a hardie is only used for cutting. Take a squint at the I Forge Iron forum.

Check they fit your anvil, not all, hardy holes are tne sa e size.
