A friend wishes for me to dispose of a copper boiler.

I think I may oblige...

But its the type with a steel outer skin, and that hard foam insulation.

would the local metal recuclers want it as it is or shall I strip it?

And does anyone here want a big sheet of copper????
 
Makes a good start point for all sorts of things... Bowls, for example?

Funnily enough, I've just been doing much the same - although the insulation on this one peeled off fairly easily (assisted by a paint scraper) as it had been outside for a while. A colleague of mine just offloaded the ends of one onto me that was covered in veg oil... Now nicely blackened & awaiting a bit more of a cleanup.

Not familiar with the steel outer skin on them though.
