Managed to get out to the Suffolk Bushcraft Group meet last weekend, for a much needed break.
Mike, David and myself arrived around midday, and proceeded to get group shelter erected and the fire going. We then started on our own pitches. By 1800 hrs we were a group of 10, plus Andy's dog Cassie. It turned cold during the night 2c, and it tested my hammock system, luckily all was good.
After breakfast on Saturday, we had a skill share on some flint knapping techniques, then another on various spring traps and a figure 4 trap, deadfall and cage. After lunch we split into two groups, one to restock the logpile while the other dug a new long drop and moved the toilet block. :lmao: Kev, meantime was preparing a delicious beef stew with dumplings dinner for the hungry campers. After dinner a relaxing evening round the fire, with a few drinks and a lot of friendly banter, with a great bunch of guys.
It was a good bit warmer on the Saturday night, but a misty Sunday morning meant my tarp was still a bit wet when I packed away.
Anyway here are some photos.
My setup.

Some nice camp setups there, very well organised. I'm a 'spreader' when it comes to camping, just one reason I try to take less with me, otherwise I'll end up occupying too much area :)

I use a kit hammock to organise/store my stuff, otherwise I spread out too. You can see it in front of the main hammock.

I see you're carrying on the practice of the old time favourite of youths of moving a portacabin loo around while someone is still in it :)
