We just purtused a japanies water stone and was wandering if when using a nugura stone if you need to put it one on the 6000 grit and the 1000 grit?

P.S sorry for the rubbish spelling it isnt one of my strong points

6000. Get it wet and rub the nagura all over to get a good slurry.

On a different note after using the waterstones would you still use a strop or would that be overkill.
