If you want something reusable you can buy collapsable canteens which hold a quart watever that is, if you don't want reusable-----no jokes------lubeless condoms' they hold loads!!
They`re great for a fixed camp with the 15L capacity but they will collapse down to about the size of a small pizza box. Handy if there`s a water supply near camp and you can carry it back, 15L of water ain`t light.
For backpacking distances I use a fabric ortleib carrier which I`ve had for donkeys years.
The MSR Dromedary Hydration Bags in 6 litre capacity are extremely good and have a lifetime warranty due to their strong construction. You'd only need to buy them once! (I bought 3, but all at once!)
I've the 10 litre version and have had it for ages, dropped it of a cliff and it landed in a gorse bush, I've also driven over it in my Landy (it was almost empty at the time) and it's still holding up very very well...
It also fits all of the MSR water filters/purifiers and alot of other brands...
Oh, and you can get a shower head for it too, if you are that was inclined...
