Looking for a super warm jacket/parka.

Don't like the puffy ones as they make me look like Michelin Man

Can't afford (will not pay) the £600 plus for Canada Goose products but thats the sort of thing I'm after

Tried the Craghoppers Bear Grylls Polar jacket but its zip is awful.

I want to be able to wear this for commuting as well as outdoor pursuits

Currently have this - (North Face Hawthorn)

but got it when I was porkier and now need a small or X-small which I cannot find as this range is discontinued.

Any recommendations appreciated

but while synthetic is better than down when the filling is wet it still looses a large proportion of its insulation property.

Check out the video! And try that with a down bag, and you'll have a totally useless soggy mess. What I like about Wiggys kit is that he recommends that you wash them after every use - stick it in a machine, no less. And gives a lifetime guarantee against loss of loft - or any other damage for that matter. The only other sleeping bag manufacturer that recommends frequent washing is the Buffalo bags. Everyone else warns you against it!
